Matt Dennett Trio @Smiths Alternative
Led by pianist Matt Dennett (The Belco Jazz Band), the Matt Dennett Trio perform French music (Django Reinhardt, Edith Piaf), Brazilian Music (Carlos Jobim, Ernesto Nazareth) and Jazz standards repertoire, all of which inform Matt’s original compositions. Featuring bassist Muhamed Mehmedbasic (Sydney Symphony Orchestra dep) and drummer Stephen Richards (currently touring nationally with Run Like Hell), the trio is known for strong musical rapport, playful improvisation, and an engaging connection with audiences.
